Install on Mac

1. Download the .dmg for your Mac (Apple silicon or Intel — the download page picks for you).
2. Open it and drag Tentaku into Applications.
3. Open Tentaku from Applications. The first time you press ● Record, macOS asks for microphone permission — allow it. (You can do this early: Settings → “Let the microphone in now”.)

Minimum macOS 13 Ventura. The transcription engine is built in; nothing else to install.

The Apple silicon build is labelled Beta until it finishes hands-on testing on an M-series Mac. If anything’s off, email [email protected] with your Mac model. More

Not sure which Mac you have? Apple menu → About This Mac. If you see Chip: Apple M1/M2/M3/M4… pick Apple silicon. If you see Processor: Intel… pick Intel.
